Correspondence files, 1932-1935, maintained by George Hardman, on various projects, including drought relief, erosion, irrigation and water supply with other state and federal agencies. Included is a copy of a presentation by William Peterson at the Stockmen's Convention, Ursine, Nevada, 1932, on the Taylor Grazing Act. A second series of records, 1939-1942, were maintained by Howard G. Mason, agricultural planning specialist, concerning the Nevada State Land Use Planning Committee and includes agreements, meeting minutes, and reports on Churchill, Clark, Douglas, Elko, Lincoln, and Lyon counties.

William Peterson was a U.S. Army Commissary Sergeant at Camp John Hay, Philippines from Jan. 1940 to June 1940. In July 1940 he was promoted to 1st Sergeant and detailed to the Manila Port area. He was promoted to Technical Sergeant in Feb. 1941 and transferred to Fort Stotsenberg and Clark Field. After these bases and Bataan were captured by the Japanese, he was imprisoned at Camp O'Donnell, Fort McKinley, Cabanatuan, and Bilibid Prison in the Philippines from 1942 to 1945. From the...
